CMAT or Common Management Admission Test is a well-known examination recognized manually. This is basically organized by AICTE or All India Council for Technical Education. The bodies involved in making it a perfect hit are Government of India and Ministry of Human Resource Department (MHRD). This examination has the duration of 3 hours. The candidates must sit in front of the computer and appear for the test. You can also name it as an online test. You can easily get the notification of CMAT on their official website. The registration of the candidates for the test started from 20th October. If you have missed the date, be aware that 18th December is the last date of application. These are just the tentative dates. It can vary every year as per the discretion of the body. You must regularly visit the website of the company.
Exam dates of CMAT
Candidates willing to appear for the examination will be eager to know the examination dates. But, the dates have not been declared by the organization. But, we can always give you a tentative date of the present year. If you are planning to appear for the CMAT examination, it is important to go ahead with the registration process. The date of registration is 20th of October 2017 to December 25th, 2017. The process will start at 10:00 am. You will get time for the registration until 18th December 2017, 10 am. CMAT Test Pattern:
CMAT Consists of 4 Sections Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness. Each section consists of 25 Questions carrying 4 marks each. There shall be negative marking for wrong answers, for each wrong answer 1 mark shall be deducted. Total
Duration of test: 180 minutes (3 hours) .
CMAT Mock Test (Trail test) will be available from 25-Oct-2017. onwards for the candidates to have a feel of the online test and navigation functionality. Candidates are advised to go through them carefully to familiarize themselves with the screens, layout, and navigation.
At the test venue, each candidate will be seated at a desk with a computer terminal and he/she will be provided with a scratch paper for calculations. After the test, the candidate must leave the scratch paper at the desk. Rough work cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the testing room. No breaks will be given during the test.

CMAT Notification: Application Fee
There is a registration fee for CMAT. The fees are different for several categories of people. If you belong to general or OBC class, your application fee will be 1400 + bank charges. But if you are SC/ST, the fee becomes half. Yes, in that case, the application for CMAT will be Rs 700. It is now time to fill up the form with the application fee. Don’t miss the upcoming application date or else you will miss the chance to sit for the CMAT exam in January.
CMAT Application Payment Process
Payment can be done via two modes:
Mode i) ONLINE Payment: You can select ONLINE PAYMENT mode and then do the payment using Credit card / Debit card / Net Banking
Once your payment is successfully done, you will receive a confirmation E-mail and SMS. Once you have received the successful payment confirmation, you can proceed with the remaining part of registration process
Mode ii) CASH Payment in SBI bank: You can select this option to pay by CASH at any of the designated SBI bank branches. Once you select this option and proceed, you will see a CHALLAN on your screen with your details already filled in it. You need to take 3 Printouts of this CHALLAN, fill in the details wherever required in all the copies, and walk into your nearest SBI bank branch with CASH on the next day of generation of Challan. Cash Deposit will be accepted only from the next day of your Challan generation
E.g.If you Generate and Print the Challan copies on 24th October 2017, then walk into the nearest SBI bank branch with Challan copies and deposit the CASH by 25th October 2017 onwards.
NOTE: The last date to pay ‘CASH’ in the bank is 19th December 2017 and from there onwards to complete registration is 20th December 2017. Submission of final application after payment (CASH PAYMENT THROUGH BANK) will not be possible after 20th December 2017
Eligibility Criteria for CMAT 2018 Exam
- Applicant must be a citizen of India.
- Graduates in any discipline can apply for CMAT exam.
- Final year students of Graduate Courses (10+2+3) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for the academic year 2018-19 can also apply for CMAT online exam.
Pre-requisites before starting Registration for CMAT-2018:
We suggest you have the following ready before starting the CMAT registration process
A Computer with good Internet connectivity so that there is no breakage of Internet during registration.
All your qualification details as you need to enter them while registering for CMAT exam.
You need to upload your scanned photo while registering, hence keep ready a scanned clear photo of yours
taken on a white background. The size of this photo should be 140 x 160 (≤ 60Kb).
You need to upload your scanned signature while registering, hence keep ready your scanned clear
signature done on a white background. The size of this signature file should be 60 x 90 (≤ 30Kb).
A Valid e-mail id which you will be using at least for the next 6 months. All communication will be done on
this e-mail id which you will enter while registering for CMAT exam.
A Valid mobile number as all information via SMS will be sent to this number.
A valid Credit / Debit card in case you want to pay ONLINE.
A Printer connected to your system as you will have to PRINT 3 copies of CHALLAN in case you are
planning to pay by CASH at the bank.
