There is a change in the pattern of the main examination this year, which followed the pattern of SBI clerk 2016 exam pattern.
There is no change in the pattern of preliminary examination. There are slight changes in the Mains Pattern compared to previous year pattern.

Structure of Examination (ONLINE) :
(a) The pattern of Exam :
Preliminary Examination: There are 3 sections in this phase, which consists of 100 questions for 100 marks. And the time limit for the preliminary exam is 60 minutes.
1. English Language – 30 marks
2. Numerical Ability – 35 marks
3. Reasoning Ability – 35 marks
Main Examination :
There is a change in the pattern of the main examination this year compared to previous years. As every year for every recruitment IBPS was following the pattern of SBI recruitment exams, this year it changed the pattern of clerk exam and the new pattern is same as SBI clerk pattern 2016.
There are 4 sections in the main examination, which consists of 190 questions for 200 marks. There is a sectional time limit in the main examination, and over all time limit is 160 minutes (2 hours 40 minutes).
1. General / Financial Awareness – 50 Questions (50 marks) – 35 Minutes
2. General English – 40 Questions (40 marks) – 35 Minutes
3. Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude – 50 Questions (60 marks) – 45 Minutes
4. Quantitative Aptitude – 50 Questions (50 marks) – 45 Minutes
