KVPY Results 2017: Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana Test Results is declared, Candidates who appeared for the written test and interview can check their Result here, Thousands of people will be shortlisted for the Interview Round. This Result will be available based on the performance of the aspirant’s performance. KVPY exam is for streams SA (class XI), SX (class XII) and SB (1st year of the undergraduate program) separately.
KVPY Results 2017
The objective of the program is to identify students with talent and aptitude for research; help them realize their academic potential; encourage them to take up research careers in Science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.

KVPY Results 2017 Important Dates:
KVPY Aptitude Test held on November 5, 2017
KVPY Result 2017 will be declared on 3rd Week of December 2017
KVPY Interview round 1st week of January 2018
Final KVPY Result will be out on March 2017
Marks obtained by candidates in aptitude test and interview will be in April 2018
KVPY Results will be declared in the PDF format and it includes application number, seat number, and the name of students shortlisted for the interview round. Result link will be activated by the IISc, Bangalore.
The process to check KVPY Results 2017:
- Visit the link given below or go to the official website
- Login with the application number and date of birth
- Check the marks secured in the aptitude test and interview
- Now Download the result of KVPY and take a copy for the future use
After the interview round, IISC Bangalore will declare the final KVPY 2017 Result in the merit list. Candidates whose name is mentioned in the list are shortlisted for the fellowship. The final score of the candidates is given as below:
KVPY Result= 75% of marks in the aptitude test + 25% of marks in the interview. With respect to the result and Cut off score candidates will be selected. KVPY Results will be announced according to streams and categories and Results will be announced in two phases. Re-evaluation of the result is not entertained under any circumstances.

- Stream SA – 50 marks out of 100
SA – SC/ST – 40 marks out of 100
SA – PWD (Person with disability) – 40 marks out of 100
- Stream SB – 48 marks out of 100
SB – SC/ST -34 marks out of 100
SB – PWD (Person with disability) – 34 marks out of 100
- Stream SX – 57 marks out of 100
SX – SC/ST – 40 marks out of 100
SX – PWD (Person with disability) – 40 marks out of 100

The “Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana” (KVPY) is a program started in 1999 by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India to encourage students who are studying Basic Sciences to take up research career in Science. The aim of the program is to identify and encourage talented and motivated students to pursue a career in research.
This program aims to assist the students to realize their potential and to ensure that the best scientific talent is groomed for research and development in the country. Generous fellowship and contingency grant are provided to the selected KVPY Fellows up to the pre Ph.D. level or 5 years whichever is earlier. In addition, summer camps for the KVPY Fellows are organized in prestigious research and educational institutions in the country.
The Department of Science and Technology, the nodal agency of the Government has entrusted the overall responsibility for organizing and running the KVPY Program to the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and set up a Management Committee and a National Advisory Committee (NAC) for overseeing its implementation. A core committee looks after both the day-to-day and academic aspects of the KVPY Program.
